Teeth in a Day Solution for Your Missing Teeth

For many people suffering from tooth loss, particularly multiple tooth loss, dental implants are the ideal solution. However, the treatment period for the standard dental implant is usually long, especially the recovery period – after insertion of the implants and before getting the dental crowns or the dental bridge. Lucky for you, at Gwinnett Dental Implant & Periodontal Center, you can enjoy the benefits of Dental Implants without having to wait several weeks to get the crowns or the dental bridge. Our immediate dental implant solutions allow you to fully restore your teeth in a day.

How Does Teeth in a Day Implants Work?

Immediate dental implants, or same day implants, are dental implants that are completely placed on the same day. The required number of implants are surgically inserted into the jawbone, and once the procedure is complete, dental crowns or a dental bridge is immediately placed. As a result, with same day implants, you go home with your teeth the same day, instead of waiting for several weeks for the surgical wounds to heal before getting your teeth.

Same day implants can be used on all implant options:
•  Single tooth implant for replacing a single individual tooth.
•  Multiple tooth implant for replacing several missing teeth.
•  Implant-supported dentures, where the implants are strategically inserted into the jawbone, and then used to support a dental bridge/denture.
•  All-on-treatment implants – where four implants are placed on the arch and then used to support a dental bridge.

The Immediate Dental Implant Process

Immediate dental implants allow you to get your teeth back in a day. However, the treatment is a process, which includes the following stages:
•  Consultation – during the first appointment, dental imaging technologies are used to evaluate and diagnose your dental health status to determine if you are an ideal candidate for the same day implants.
•  Implant placement planning – this usually happens in a second appointment after it is determined the treatment is right, and you have decided to move forward with it. During this stage, a customized treatment plan will be created per your specific needs. The treatment plan will involve choosing the Dental Implant option, and creating a surgical guide to ensure the perfect placement of the implants.
•  The dental implant placement procedure – this is when the implants are surgically placed. The procedure is carried out under anesthesia. After you are sedated, an incision will be created on the gums and a hole drilled into the jawbone. The implant will then be inserted and the wound sealed. After inserting all the implants, you will then receive a dental bridge or dental crowns, thus completing the treatment.
•  Follow-up appointments – during the recovery period, follow-up appointments will be required to assess the healing progress, thus ensuring there are no complications.
